Who I am

Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, where I completed my Bachelor’s in Linguistics and Intercultural Communications, I have lived in Mexico and the UK before settling down in Seattle, US, working as a freelance translator (EN=>RU) and a translation project manager at Academy of Languages where I honed my multitasking and organizational skills. I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment managing multilingual projects. Equipped with 6 years’ experience in a variety of sectors including tourism and hospitality, administration and event management, localization and QA testing, I focus on helping companies and individual clients to access overseas markets.

Professional
services

Translation

If your catalogue, brochure, magazine, app, software or website is not available in the language of its users, it doesn’t make for a great user experience. Analyzing English source materials, I translate documents into Russian accurately and faithfully, in accordance with particular style guidelines and quality standards.

Translation project management

I curate translation teams of qualified professionals and ensure best practices are followed to decrease cost and time-to-market for the translated versions (French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, and other languages are available upon request).

Localization

When the aim is not just to translate your content but also to adapt this content for the markets and target audience you are trying to reach – localization is a great way to build trust by providing content that’s culturally relevant and appropriate.

Editing/proofreading

Reviewing, revising, and proofreading the translated materials ensuring consistency in style and terminology requires high-level knowledge of the language of expertise: native slang, phraseology, grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling.

Transcription/subtitling

Business and personal matters require reliable and fast ways to transcribe video or audio files, and quite often in multiple languages. I can provide an ideal combination of quality and competitive bid, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality standards.

Quality Assurance (QA)

The process of verifying that the translated or localized product is finalized: no broken links, issues with the display of characters or truncated sentences. “Final check”, once translations have been implemented.

Desktop Publishing (DTP)

Creation of ready-to-print translated files using page layout skills and the same style guidelines as the original document. You simply send me your InDesign file package including fonts and links, and I provide you with a print and web-ready translated file:<br /> Translation (using IDML format) => Editing => DTP => Post-DTP proofing => Delivery

Transcreation

The process of adapting your creative source copy from one language to another and turn it into engaging and emotive equivalent, maintaining its style, tone and intent.
